THE POSITIVE INTELLIGENCE PROGRAMME
What is it?
A 7-week mental fitness programme that helps you move away from limiting beliefs and limiting habits. It helps you build greater self-control & respond to life’s challenges with a positive mindset. The required time commitment is approximately 2 hours/week for 7 weeks.
It can produce lasting positive behaviour change and increase your happiness, productivity and personal relationships. The learnings can be applied to both your professional and your personal life. I am licenced to work with my clients using the Positive Intelligence method via their online, app-based training platform.
The Programme’s Methodology has been tried and tested:
- Developed by Shirzad Chamine, former CEO of the largest coach training organization in the world (CTI). Shirzad has trained faculty at Stanford and Yale business schools, has coached hundreds of CEOs and their executive teams and his background includes PhD studies in neuroscience in addition to a BA in psychology, an MS in electrical engineering, and an MBA from Stanford.

In the programme you learn how to become more aware of the negative inner chatter that goes on in our heads (Saboteur thoughts) and to you understand how that can block you from achieving more and going after what really matters to you. You will learn tools and strategies to intercept your inner critic and to respond to life’s challenges in a calmer, kinder and more sensible way.

Examples of our frequent negative inner chatter:
- “This is a too hard..”
- “I won’t be able to do this well”
- “Perhaps I should give up?”
- “I think I’ll avoid this – it could be unpleasant/emotional/awkward”
- “I am worried I might mess this up”
- “I might let someone down if I do this”
- “I must do this utterly perfectly”
- “I’ll only be happy when…”
- “I hate myself when I do this…”
So how does it work?
The Positive Intelligence programme works by effectively putting your mind in the gym. You train your mind to build up three ‘mental muscles’: Saboteur interceptor, Self-command and Sage perspective. Daily short practices in the app’s PQ gym rewires certain neural pathways in your brain, ending unhelpful old thought patterns and creating positive new ones.
What resources are included and how much time is required?
In total, your commitment is approximately 2-2.5 hours a week for 7 weeks. Only 1 hour each week is at a fixed time (our weekly group discussion). The rest you can do whenever you like.
- Daily use of the online, app-based training platform;
- Weekly videos (1 hour a week);
- Short daily mental fitness exercises, total 15 mins a day. This can be spread throughout the day, so you can easily fit them around your lifestyle and commitments;
- Weekly group discussion (5 people) session (1 hour) facilitated by me, where we share our learning and motivate each other;
